Advanced Doula Training: The Impact of Childhood Sexual
Abuse on Childbearing Women and Their Care Providers
October 12,
2006, Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA
Childhood sexual abuse survivors face unique challenges during
pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum. This one day workshop
will also include information on helping families transition to
parenthood (a topic presented at the 2006 DONA conference).
Participants will earn 6.3 DONA CEU's, needed for recertification.
Workshop registration is $70 if postmarked by 10/1/06 or $85 if
postmarked after 10/1/06. GBN Members will receive a $10
discount on registration. Those attending Mission
Possible or Lamaze Childbirth Educator Training
qualify for a discount of $10.
LAMAZE Childbirth Educator Training
October 13-15, 2006, Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, GA
Presented
by Ann Tumblin, this workshop is one step in becoming a Lamaze
certified childbirth educator. For more information on additional

Mission Possible: A World of Confident Women Choosing Normal Birth

Lamaze Teen Support Specialist Training February 24-25, 2007
Individuals who want to help
teens reach for their own inner wisdom in birthing, be successful in
breastfeeding and develop good parenting skills should attend,
including childbirth educators, perinatal nurses, doulas, those
